WHAT IS SPORT PSYCHOLOGY?
Sport psychology is a science in which the principles of psychology are applied in a sport and exercise setting. These principles are often applied to enhance performance. Sport and exercise psychology is the study of the effect of psychological and emotional factors on sport and exercise performance, and the effect of sport involvement on the psychological and emotional factors (Cox, 2002).
