Stephanie is a Mental Performance Coach and Professional Member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association who works with athletes of all ages and competition levels. Through mental skills training and a client-centered approach, Stephanie counsels athletes to increase awareness and enhance performance by customizing individual and team strategies for success. With her coaching, athletes are able to develop invaluable mental skills they will use in sport and beyond. As a lifelong athlete, Stephanie uses mental skills in her own life while playing soccer, hockey, and softball.

EXPERIENCE

Stephanie has a wealth of experience working with athletes of all levels. From recreational through to international level athletes, she works with a variety of different sports such as curling, hockey, soccer, baton twirling, basketball, and rugby.

Stephanie has held the position of Mental Conditioning Coach for the following:

  • uOttawa Varsity Rugby Team (2013-14)

  • Bill Crothers S.S Prep Basketball Teams (2014)

  • PanAm games (2015)

  • YSSK Basketball (2013-Present)

  • Stars United Baton Club (2013 - Present)

Sport psychology is a science in which the principles of psychology are applied in a sport and exercise setting. These principles are often applied to enhance performance. Sport and exercise psychology is the study of the effect of psychological and emotional factors on sport and exercise performance, and the effect of sport involvement on the psychological and emotional factors (Cox, 2002).
